NOIRKEY is a Philadelphia-born DJ, producer and songwriter with Jamaican roots. Born to Jamaican parents, he is a first-generation American artist whose connection to music started early and never left him.
At ten years old, while walking to his aunt’s house in Jamaica one night, he passed an outdoor dancehall event. The atmosphere, the bass and the energy made a permanent impression. That experience became the moment that made him fall in love with music.
By thirteen, he had started DJing, first through reggae and dancehall. As he grew up in America, other DJs pulled him into hip-hop and additional genres. Instead of choosing one side, NOIRKEY developed an ear that allows him to move naturally between Jamaican and American music culture — understanding both crowds and bringing a unique blend of rhythm, timing and feel.

NOIR is French for “black,” reflecting the lesser-seen side of music culture, where new sounds often emerge before reaching the mainstream. KEY stands for access — opening doors to original sounds and independent talent.
NOIRKEY brings those ideas together: discovering what comes next and giving underground creativity a path into the spotlight.

NOIRKEY’s sound is rooted in reggae, dancehall and hip-hop, with a deep respect for vinyl culture and crowd energy. His perspective comes from knowing how to play in the middle — carrying the spirit of Jamaican music while understanding American audiences just as deeply.

THE VISUALS.
NOIRKEY’s visual identity pairs a dark, anonymous stage presence with black-and-gold artwork, purple live lighting and imagery connecting Philadelphia and Jamaica. His DJ heritage remains central to the music, while the public-facing visual identity stays focused on the artist.
